ARRIVING BY PLAN...
If you arrive to Florence by airplane, you are going to land at Amerigo Vespucci Airport. This is not properly in the center. There are several services (public and private) that connect the Florence city center with th Airport of Florence (Amerigo Vespucci airport).

Are you flying to/from Pisa Airport G.Galilei)? There are several services (public and private) that connect the Pisa International Airport with the Florence city center and with the Airport of Florence.

ARRIVING BY TRAIN...
The Train Station is in the center of the city, near S. Maria Novella place. In this place there are many bus stops of the ATAF bus Lines. A lot of them crosses the center in all directions, and many ATAF bus lines stop around the station and their location and destination is shown in the following picture [download PDF]. TAXI IN FLORENCE

In Florence the taxi is easly reacheable from different taxi ranks in several points of the city, almost in the center. Anyway you can easly acces to a taxi dialing one of the following phone number: 055 43 90 | 055 44 99 | 055 47 98 | 055 42 42.

The taxi service is helded by two different mayor company: RADIO TAXI and TAXI SOCOTA so the fees can change a little bit, you really should read carefully the information about fare shown inside the taxi.

Here are taxi fares for destinations inside the city of Florence:
Starting rate: € 2,38
Starting rate for night trip (from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.): € 5,16
Starting rate for Sunday/holidays trip: € 4,03
Luggage (max 4 pieces): € 0,57 per piece
Rate fare from Florence (center) to Amerigo Vespucci Airport: about € 15,00

BUS IN FLORENCE

ATAF and LI-NEA are the public companies that manage the bus transportation in Florence. Genreally from the center of the city, and from all around the train station, you can reach all the city. From there website anyway you can easly find the fares, the time schedules and the city's bus map.
Tickets and Bus passes can be purchased at Box Ataf in Piazza Stazione, bars, newstands, tobacconists. Tickets must be stamped on the machines on board. At night, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., tickets can be purchased aboard from the driver at 2,00 Euro

60 minutes - 1,00 Euro | 3 hours - 1,80 Euro | daily ticket - 4,00 Euro
2 days - 5,70 Euro | 3 days - 7,20 | weekly ticket - 12,00 Euro
